The Toyota Echo is a compact, entry-level model that is perhaps most popular for its fuel efficiency. Introduced in 1999 and discontinued in 2005, the Toyota Echo along with its successor uses an engine (1.5L) similar to the one that powered the Tercel. Echo is known as Toyota Yaris in Europe, and Toyota Vitz in Japan.
